Synopsis<\/h2>

Roman, un artiste de Saint-P\u00e9tersbourg qui s’est aventur\u00e9 \u00e0 Amsterdam pour ses \u00e9tudes, a vu sa vie prendre un tournant inattendu avec la guerre entre la Russie et l’Ukraine en 2022. Ce conflit l’a conduit \u00e0 un voyage personnel d’introspection et de red\u00e9couverte. Les exp\u00e9riences de Roman, les entretiens avec des compatriotes russes \u00e0 Amsterdam et les interactions avec Vladlena Sandu ont remis en question sa vision de son pays d’origine. Il s’est lanc\u00e9 dans un projet visant \u00e0 explorer l’isolement des citoyens de la vie publique en Russie, dans le but de comprendre cette \u00ab\u00a0idiotie\u00a0\u00bb et de trouver un moyen de s’en lib\u00e9rer. Son histoire refl\u00e8te la lutte pour r\u00e9concilier les croyances personnelles avec un environnement soci\u00e9tal et politique en mutation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n

Biographie<\/h2>

Roman Ermolaev (1991, St. Petersburg, RU) est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 du d\u00e9partement VAV de l’Acad\u00e9mie Gerrit Rietveld en 2017 avec une mention honorable. La m\u00eame ann\u00e9e, il a re\u00e7u le prix EYE Research Lab pour la meilleure \u0153uvre audiovisuelle au EYE Filmmuseum. En janvier 2018, il a re\u00e7u le Young Art Support Amsterdam Award. Son projet de fin d’\u00e9tudes Holy Land ainsi que son \u0153uvre pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente Le Macaour (pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e sur MUBI) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9s \u00e0 la collection du EYE Filmmuseum. En 2018, il fait partie des jeunes artistes pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s \u00e0 SBK Sprouts Young Talents. Son travail a \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9 dans diverses galeries, institutions et festivals du film aux Pays-Bas et \u00e0 l’\u00e9tranger, et ses films ont \u00e9t\u00e9 projet\u00e9s dans divers festivals du film, y compris IFF ROTTER- DAM. En 2020, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 par le mus\u00e9e du film EYE et r\u00e9compens\u00e9 par \u00ab\u00a03 Package Deal AFK Foundation\u00a0\u00bb. En 2022, son film GOYA a gagn\u00e9 dans la cat\u00e9gorie des courts m\u00e9trages des Buma Music in Media Awards.<\/p>\n
