O\u00f9 va la fr\u00e9quence d\u2019un corps lorsqu\u2019il meurt ?
\nFaisant partie d\u2019une s\u00e9rie de courts-m\u00e9trages sur le climat, le deuil et l\u2019espoir, WITHIN, FROM BELOW explore la relation entre nos corps et l\u2019oc\u00e9an \u00e0 travers le son, en croisant perspectives scientifiques et m\u00e9taphysiques. Le film tisse ensemble des sons anthropiques et des paysages sonores c\u00f4tiers \u2014 y compris des sons habituellement inaudibles \u00e0 l\u2019oreille humaine \u2014 avec des images sensorielles o\u00f9 les corps et l\u2019eau fusionnent en textures fluides. Des t\u00e9moignages scientifiques sur la pollution sonore sous-marine dialoguent avec des perspectives transcendantales sur le potentiel th\u00e9rapeutique de certaines fr\u00e9quences sur nos formes physiques \u2014 qui sont elles aussi des corps d\u2019eau, comme l\u2019oc\u00e9an et les \u00eatres vivants qui l\u2019habitent.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n

biographie<\/h2>

Elise Guillaume (n\u00e9e en 1996) est une artiste et r\u00e9alisatrice bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Bruxelles. Sa pratique interdisciplinaire inclut le film, la vid\u00e9o, le son, la photographie et la sculpture \u2014 parfois pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s sous forme d\u2019installations immersives. Le corps occupe une place centrale dans son travail : il devient un vecteur pour interpr\u00e9ter les interconnexions entre les \u00eatres qui composent notre monde. S\u2019int\u00e9ressant aux liens entre les \u00e9tats psychologiques et les changements environnementaux, Elise Guillaume m\u00eale recherche scientifique et introspection personnelle. Elle con\u00e7oit l\u2019intime comme une forme \u00e9cologique, explorant ainsi les possibilit\u00e9s d\u2019une relation renouvel\u00e9e avec la terre et avec les autres.<\/p>\n

Son travail a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019international, notamment \u00e0 la Chapelle Jeanne d\u2019Arc Contemporary Art Centre (FR), \u00e0 Espace Crois\u00e9 Contemporary Art Centre (FR), \u00e0 l\u2019Arsenale de Venise (IT), \u00e0 la Friche de la Belle de Mai (FR), \u00e0 la LMNO Gallery (BE), \u00e0 Gasworks (UK), \u00e0 Paf Olomouc (CZ), \u00e0 la Centrale for Contemporary Art (BE), au Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles (FR), au Guardian Art Centre (CN), \u00e0 l\u2019Imagine Science Film Festival (USA), au CICA Museum(KR), au KIKK Festival (BE), au VIDEOFORMES Festival (FR) et au Centre audiovisuel Argos (BE), entre autres.<\/p>\n

Elise Guillaume a re\u00e7u plusieurs soutiens pour ses projets, dont des financements de Arts Council England, du Science New Wave Film Fund et du European Marine Board dans le cadre de la r\u00e9sidence EMBracing the Ocean, pour d\u00e9velopper son projet Waves of Resonance<\/em> en collaboration avec des scientifiques. Elle a \u00e9galement particip\u00e9 \u00e0 des r\u00e9sidences en environnements isol\u00e9s, notamment avec La Wayaka Current (2018) dans le d\u00e9sert d\u2019Atacama et The Arctic Circle (2023) dans l\u2019archipel du Svalbard.<\/p>\n

Son film Hybrid Terrains<\/em> (2021) a \u00e9t\u00e9 finaliste du Aesthetica Art Prize 2022, a re\u00e7u le Art Nova Prize de l\u2019ArteLaguna Art Prize et a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 pour le Prix De L\u2019Oeuvre Exp\u00e9rimentale De La Scam. En 2023, son film Eventual Horizon<\/em> a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 pour la shortlist du prix Talents Contemporains 13 de la Fondation Fran\u00e7ois Schneider.<\/p>\n

Elle a donn\u00e9 des conf\u00e9rences et ateliers, notamment pour The Sustainable Darkroom, le Royal College of Art, Espace Crois\u00e9 et l\u2019ESA Dunkerque\u2013Tourcoing.
