Nino vit dans un village de l’Aspromonte ionien, en Calabre, o\u00f9 le grec ancien se transmet oralement depuis des mill\u00e9naires et n’est plus parl\u00e9 aujourd’hui que par quelques anciens. Comme tant d’autres, Nino est parti autrefois \u00e0 la recherche d’une vie meilleure, mais il est revenu dans ce lieu aust\u00e8re et majestueux qu’il ne peut abandonner. Sa pr\u00e9sence nous guide \u00e0 travers un paysage \u00e0 la fois hostile et enchanteur.
\n\u00c0 travers une s\u00e9rie de moments intemporels, les fronti\u00e8res entre les humains, les animaux et la nature commencent \u00e0 s’estomper.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n

biographie<\/h2>

Mattia Petull\u00e0 est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 en Sciences de la Communication et sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 en cin\u00e9ma \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 Alma mater studiorum de Bologne. Apr\u00e8s avoir travaill\u00e9 dans un projet d’activisme m\u00e9diatique appel\u00e9 \u00ab Telestreet \u00bb, contre le monopole audiovisuel de Berlusconi dans les ann\u00e9es 2000, il a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d’une petite soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de production ind\u00e9pendante, Elenfant Film, pour laquelle il a travaill\u00e9 comme monteur et a produit ses premiers courts m\u00e9trages en tant que r\u00e9alisateur.
\nSon travail se concentre souvent sur les \u00ab derniers \u00bb ou les \u00ab perdants \u00bb, en essayant toujours de mettre en \u00e9vidence un c\u00f4t\u00e9 positif d’eux.
\nIl s’int\u00e9resse \u00e9galement \u00e0 l’impact des transformations environnementales produites par les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s humaines sur les individus.
\nSon approche est ethnographique. La mati\u00e8re des histoires qu’il veut raconter provient souvent de contextes qu’il a fr\u00e9quent\u00e9s et v\u00e9cus de premi\u00e8re main ou \u00e0 travers la connaissance directe de personnes qui l’ont fait et qui dans de nombreux cas deviennent les protagonistes de ses films.
\nSon premier long m\u00e9trage se situe \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re entre le documentaire ethnographique et la fiction et raconte l’histoire d’un jeune groupe de travailleurs nomades saisonniers \u00e0 la recherche de leur place dans le monde ; \u00ab Terra in vista \u00bb est sorti fin 2022 dans la comp\u00e9tition internationale du 26e Ji.hlava IDFF et distribu\u00e9 dans d’autres festivals de cin\u00e9ma et plateformes VOD.<\/p>\n
