La plupart des images publi\u00e9es en ligne seront bient\u00f4t r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par des algorithmes ciblant d&rsquo;autres algorithmes.<\/p>\n<p>Ce Focus, programm\u00e9 par l&rsquo;artiste et cin\u00e9aste Nicolas Gourault, vise \u00e0 \u00e9tudier la politique et la po\u00e9tique des images g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es par ordinateur dans le cadre de la r\u00e9alisation de films documentaires. Il explorera certaines strat\u00e9gies par lesquelles les cin\u00e9astes font face \u00e0 cette mer croissante de bruit num\u00e9rique qui pourrait bient\u00f4t devenir le monde dans lequel nous vivons.<\/p>\n<p>Le premier programme se concentrera sur la dynamique sociale et les luttes impliqu\u00e9es dans la production de preuves dans un monde satur\u00e9 par les algorithmes d&rsquo;engagement des m\u00e9dias sociaux et le contenu g\u00e9n\u00e9ratif. Ce chapitre se concentre sur la figure du faux Pape de Balenciaga, qui a capt\u00e9 l&rsquo;attention et l&rsquo;imagination de beaucoup, pendant le soi-disant \u00ab AI-boom \u00bb de 2023. Dans cette vid\u00e9o de 18 minutes, les m\u00e9canismes de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&rsquo;IA, les langages journalistiques visuels et le clonage num\u00e9rique sont augment\u00e9s et r\u00e9ifi\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Un monologue r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissant \u00e0 la nature des faits, prononc\u00e9 par le pape de Balenciaga, confronte les attentes du spectateur \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9gard des autorit\u00e9s de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 et de l&rsquo;image photographique, tout en d\u00e9formant les notations \u00e9tablies en mati\u00e8re de preuves visuelles. L&rsquo;histoire culmine avec l&rsquo;\u00e9mergence de l&rsquo;ensemble de donn\u00e9es synth\u00e9tiques : des images g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es par ordinateur utilis\u00e9es comme \u00ab v\u00e9rit\u00e9 de terrain \u00bb pour l&rsquo;apprentissage des algorithmes de vision par ordinateur. Les donn\u00e9es synth\u00e9tiques sont de plus en plus recherch\u00e9es comme une alternative propre aux ensembles de donn\u00e9es r\u00e9elles, qui sont souvent biais\u00e9es, obtenues de mani\u00e8re non \u00e9thique ou co\u00fbteuses \u00e0 cr\u00e9er. Alors que les donn\u00e9es CGI semblent \u00e9viter bon nombre de ces \u00e9cueils, mon argumentation vise d&#8217;embl\u00e9e \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer si le monde virtuel est aussi propre et stable que nous le pensons. J&rsquo;essaie de r\u00e9pertorier les \u00ab bidouillages \u00bb utilis\u00e9s pour construire les fondations des mondes simul\u00e9s et je sugg\u00e8re que les solutions des premi\u00e8res infographies cr\u00e9ent une dette technique qui pourrait \u00eatre un mat\u00e9riau moins qu&rsquo;id\u00e9al pour construire les fondations d&rsquo;une autre g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de technologie.<\/p>\n<p>RGBFAQ creuse ces fondations, en apportant une batterie de preuves m\u00e9dico-l\u00e9gales qui sapent ce que nous pourrions consid\u00e9rer comme l&rsquo;image, en fournissant \u00e0 la place le concept beaucoup plus impr\u00e9visible et color\u00e9 de \u00ab l&rsquo;image \u00e9clat\u00e9e \u00bb, un mode de vision qui, comme j&rsquo;essaie de le d\u00e9montrer, trouve son origine dans l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie d\u00e9licate du rendu du d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2000, mais qui, comme beaucoup de nouvelles technologies, a des applications inattendues dans la surveillance, le divertissement et la science du comportement.<\/p>\n<p>Le concept d&rsquo;image \u00e9clat\u00e9e (ou l&rsquo;alternative \u00ab hyperimage \u00bb) articule le caract\u00e8re glissant inh\u00e9rent \u00e0 toute discussion sur l&rsquo;esth\u00e9tique num\u00e9rique. L&rsquo;image dont il est question dans RGBFAQ fait le lien entre XYZ et RGB, l&rsquo;espace et la couleur, les donn\u00e9es et l&rsquo;esth\u00e9tique, la machine et l&rsquo;homme, l&rsquo;arme et l&rsquo;outil.
