Elle a obtenu un doctorat en sciences culturelles compar\u00e9es (Universit\u00e9 de Gand) et a \u00e9t\u00e9 chercheuse invit\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;UC Berkeley. Elle a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 plusieurs documentaires diffus\u00e9s dans le monde entier et r\u00e9compens\u00e9s par des prix (inter)nationaux. Elle publie r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement et donne des conf\u00e9rences internationales sur le documentaire, le film et l&rsquo;anthropologie visuelle\/performative. Elle est affili\u00e9e en tant que professeur titulaire et chercheuse \u00e0 la School of Arts Ghent Kask &amp; Conservatorium (Belgique).<\/p>\n<p>Elle travaille \u00e0 l&rsquo;intersection entre le documentaire, l&rsquo;anthropologie et les arts visuels. Tout en explorant diverses strat\u00e9gies documentaires et la relation anthropologique entre le soi et l&rsquo;autre, elle \u00e9tudie \u00e9galement le m\u00e9dium du film de mani\u00e8re r\u00e9flexive. Elle explore l&rsquo;opposition entre le fait et la fiction, l&rsquo;imagination et l&rsquo;observation, la repr\u00e9sentation et l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience, en prenant comme point de d\u00e9part l&rsquo;importance de l&rsquo;image dans notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9 multiculturelle.
