Il a enseign\u00e9 dans des \u00e9coles de cin\u00e9ma (INSAS Bruxelles, Film Academy Amsterdam) et des universit\u00e9s (WWU M\u00fcnster, AMU Marseille). Il est professeur d&rsquo;anthropologie audiovisuelle \u00e0 l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 d&rsquo;Aix-Marseille. Son dernier ouvrage s&rsquo;intitule \u00ab\u00a0Cinematic Ethnography : Experiencing Cultures through some audiovisual practices\u00a0\u00bb (MUP, 2024). Il a cofond\u00e9 le laboratoire de projet SIC &#8211; SoundImageCulture. Il a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 quinze films (exp\u00e9rimentaux, documentaires et fictions) et a remport\u00e9 neuf prix. Ses premiers documentaires explorent des th\u00e8mes sociaux et religieux. Il a ensuite r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie de courts m\u00e9trages intitul\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0Experimental Ethnographies\u00a0\u00bb. Son premier long m\u00e9trage hybride, Surya, a \u00e9t\u00e9 largement distribu\u00e9. Derni\u00e8rement, il a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 trois longs m\u00e9trages sur le th\u00e8me de la migration &#8211; Brak (fiction), Kal\u00e8s (documentaire), We Others (hybride). Ses travaux s&rsquo;appuient sur diff\u00e9rents modes : Cin\u00e9ma collaboratif, hybride et sensoriel.
