Synopsis<\/h2>

Verhalen bepalen hoe we het leven ervaren en zijn de sleutel tot hoe we ons verhouden tot elkaar en de wereld om ons heen. Dit verhaal begint in de winter van 2022, toen ik samen met mijn toenmalige partner begon aan een 9 maanden durend wandeltocht dat buiten mijn wil om abrupt eindigde.
\nHet project verkent de kracht van verhalen en de notie van realiteit op basis van deze persoonlijke ervaring. Aan de hand van beelden die ik tijdens de wandeling heb gemaakt, probeer ik mijn eigen verhaal te herschrijven, de controle over mijn verhaal en mijn agency in het buitenleven terug te krijgen. Hiervoor zal ik een licht werpen op \u2018vrouwen in het wild\u2019, op hoe zij hun verhaal hebben gevonden en het buiten schrijven.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n

Biografie<\/h2>

Kato behaalde in 2021 haar master Visuele Antropologie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Als onderdeel van haar scriptie maakte ze de film \u201c The Walnut Tree \u201d tijdens veldwerk in een co-housing gemeenschap in Brussel. In deze essayfilm onderzoekt ze de spanning tussen individuele grenzen aan de ene kant en het idee van een groep aan de andere kant. The Walnut Tree werd geselecteerd voor SEF Student Film festival (2021), Kratovo Etnological Film Festival (2021) en GIEFF German International Ethnographic Film Festival G\u00f6ttingen (2022).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
