Synopsis

An exiled body seeks a nation. It finds an immersive land made of rupture, tension, and everything a territory can’t hold.

Biography

Born in Angola, based in Geneva, Issé Tusevo situates her praxis at the intersection of networked intelligence, image, power, and identity, bringing into tension colonial continuities, politics of visibility, and the poetics of Relation. Trained in visual arts, she combines research-driven and embedded methodologies to question dominant narratives.
Her exploration of documentary practices and their attendant hybrid and augmented forms, approached as performative gestures, foregrounds the body as archive, engages hauntology as material, and positions regimes of vision as affective infrastructures of negative capability.
