Resonating Surfaces
Resonating Surfaces is a triple portrait of a city, a woman and an attitude to life. The personal story of Rolnik, a Brazilian psychoanalyst now living in São Paulo, deals with the Brazilian dictatorship of the 1960s and the Parisian intellectual climate around Deleuze and Guattari in the 1970s.
The film interweaves several themes: the other and the relationship to otherness, the link between body and power, voice, and finally, the micropolitics of desire and resistance.
