Weight of Breath est un documentaire qui retrace le parcours émotionnel et physique d’une mère iranienne et artiste ayant fui vers la Belgique pour sauver son fils nouveau-né atteint de mucoviscidose. À travers le traumatisme, l’exil puis, finalement, la résistance, elle affronte la perte de son identité, de sa mémoire et de son foyer. Entremêlant prises de vues réelles, villes en argile sculptées à la main et dessins animés, le film suit sa tentative de reconstruire une vie fragmentée et explore la manière dont la maternité, la violence politique et la survie transforment son art et son esprit. Une quête d’autonomie et de reprise de contrôle à travers l’acte de création.
