Biography

A former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Jean-Pierre Rehm has taught the history and theory of art and cinema in many Art Schools in France (Valence, Nancy, Reims, Cergy, Arles), then was in charge of a mission at the Ministry of Culture (DAP).
He regularly curates contemporary art exhibitions in France and abroad (Cairo Museum of Modern Art and Alexandria Museum of Modern Art, Yokohama Art Center in Japan, Witte de With in Rotterdam, Paço das Artes in Brazil, Caixa Foundation in Barcelona).
In addition, he pursues a critical activity on various supports, books, collective works, art and cinema reviews, national and international. He was in charge of the Post-Diploma at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Lyon from its inception until recently. He was awarded the title of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres. Finally, since 2001 he has been the General Delegate of the FIDMarseille International Film Festival.
