Starting Points: Previous Works by SIC Participants

    Screening
    Friday 12 June 2026
    14:00—16:00 & 16:30—18:30
    GC Ten Weyngaert (Brussels)

Every film emerges from a body of work, a set of questions, and a way of looking at the world. In this session, six SIC participants present previous films that have shaped their artistic journeys. Bringing together five shorts and one feature film, the programme offers a first encounter with the filmmakers and the practices they bring into the SIC cycle. Through screenings and conversations, we will explore the ideas, methods and sensibilities that underpin their work.

Solitude is the result of a research project exploring the concept of personal space within the context of a society such as Iran. It examines how cultural values, social conventions, and everyday interactions influence the perception and negotiation of personal boundaries in both private and public environments.
