Julien Chapelle works in the field of film and audiovisual arts, with a background in programming, festival coordination, and cultural project management. Since 2023, he is Coordinator of SoundImageCulture (SIC), a platform that supports filmmakers in the development of their projects. He is also the founder and Artistic Director of London Film Week. His work is shaped by a curatorial approach and an interest in how films circulate between artistic, academic, and public contexts.
He has worked with a range of film and cultural institutions, including Raindance Film Festival (UK), Anima Festival, Flagey, Bozar Cinema, and the Brussels Short Film Festival. Through these experiences, he has developed a grounded understanding of film programming and distribution in Belgium and internationally. Since 2025, Julien has been a member of the Commission du Cinéma of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, where he takes part in collective reflection on the future of the audiovisual sector.
